DRUM test procedure

Visual Check

  • No wobble
  • Paint, print and felt look good
  • Bottom screws are fully screwed
  • Felt and bottom metal are equally spaced all around
  • Sticker is positioned correctly
  • Feet are attached correctly

Functional Test

  1. Plug in all plugs
  2. Turn volume up and put on headphones
  3. Do SYNC test
  4. Unplug line in, sync in and out
  5. Make sure sequencer is stopped. Test all sequencer buttons
  6. Program sequence with one kick, one snare and two hats
  7. Turn tempo halfway and start the sequencer. Test TEMPO and VOLUME
  8. Test drumpad in both pressure states, slider up and down
  9. Repeat for all drumpads/sliders
  10. While holding one drumpad, test the swing switch both ways
  11. Test RANDOM, CRUSH, REPEAT and FILTER both pressure states
  12. Stop the sequencer
  13. Test all sample select buttons
  14. unplug headphone
  15. Qualitative sound check over speakers at max volume
  16. MIDI loopback test
  17. Set sliders and rotary pots to middle

Clean

The DRUM is clean, no smudges, no lint and no finger prints
