TR cables with Dato Duo and Drum

This is probably a totally unnecessary question, but I just want to make sure…

The outputs on both Dato Duo and Dato Drum are “doubled mono” with TRS jacks, is that correct?

But what about the sync inputs? Are these TR or TRS?

…and my actual main question: Would it possibly hurt the Duo or Drum (even in theory) if I’m using TR cables to connect them, either audio in/out or sync in/out, to my sound interface’s mono TR in-/outputs? I mean, a TR cable plugged into a TRS socket means that one of the channels will be constantly grounded. For me, that means “short circuit” and that’s not always a good thing…

Edit: Just found out that at least the audio in and out on Dato Drum supports both TR and TRS cables. But still wondering about the rest of the ports…

Hi David, the 3.5mm connectors (audio output and sync in- and out) are all the same. So you can use both TS and TRS cables, and connecting to the mono input of the audio interface won’t be an issue!
